In term two our theme was ‘space’ due to the children’s fascinations and inquisitiveness around the topic the previous term. We had a space role play area were children used their imagination to recreate space missions and browse non-fiction books. In literacy we applied our phonic knowledge to read ‘Whatever Next’ and our communication skills to recreate the story with stick puppets and role plays. We also had ‘The Space Dome’ visit us to show us stars and planets in their planetarium.
